Ways to open a picture

You can open a picture in the following ways:

On your hard disk or a network   If you want to open an existing picture, you can open it on your computer hard disk or on a network drive that you have a connection to. Open a picture on your hard disk or a network

By using a UNC address   If your network supports UNC addresses, you can open a picture on a network by typing its address, even if you don't have a connection to a network server. Open a picture on a network by using a UNC address

As a copy   If you want to work on a copy of a picture instead of the original, you can create and open a copy. The picture must be located on your computer hard disk or on a network drive that you have write access to. Open a picture as a copy

As read-only   If you don't have write access to the disk a picture is stored on, or you don't want to change the original picture, you can open a read-only version. Open a picture as read-only

From another format   If your picture was created in another file format, you can open it in PhotoDraw. File formats PhotoDraw can open. Open a picture created in another format

On an intranet or Internet site   If your company has an intranet, you can open pictures on the intranet server.
